Become a Fort Fido Member!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member. Whether it’s a last minute vacation, family emergency, hectic work schedule, or just trusted advice and referral. The members in good standing 1 here at Fort Fido have peace of mind knowing that we will be here for them when needed. As you can imagine we are popular, but in order to safely and humanely operate responsibly, we have to be picky. Our application and assessments are streamlined to help us decipher whether or not your dog’s experience here would be a positive one. If you are unsure whether or not you or your dog would be a good fit, just start the assessment process and we will figure it out together. At the very least we may be able to suggest some appropriate alternatives.

Assessment

All dogs attending Fort Fido go through our assessment process. To begin simply fill out our membership application. After we receive, review, and approve all the paperwork, you can then schedule and prepay for the assessment.

We schedule our assessments Monday through Friday at 6:30am. We understand that this may be early for some folks, but here at Fort Fido it is all about the dogs. Our goal is to set them up for success. Being the first dog in the play area and slowly introducing them to the rest of the pack is our best chance for a positive outcome. It is not fair and can be overwhelming to ask a dog to negotiate a bunch of dogs all at once on their first day.

After you arrive you will be given a tour of the facility and asked to pick your dog up four hours later at 10:30am. We will then share with you how your dog did during their stay. Remember, although most do well and there are no bad dogs, not all are suited for a communal daycare/boarding environment.
